Custom Molded Polyurethane

We can mold polyurethane into just about any shape or color, and we offer a wide range of hardness options. Polyurethane is a versatile material widely used across various industries due to its unique properties and adaptability. For example, polyurethane is an excellent material for dunnage. Dunnage is used to safely transport a wide range of items from one manufacturing or distribution facility to another. Polyurethane dunnage can be molded to fit virtually any shape, keeping items securely cushioned and stable during transit. Turbine blades, vehicle radiators, hoods, doors, engines etc. are a few examples of parts which use custom molded urethane dunnage to get from point A to point B. Some items can be large and heavy, or possibly fragile such as automotive glass. We have manufactured custom dunnage for a variety of industries.     

 

Cast urethane is prized for its combination of properties, which include:
•    Durability: It is resistant to abrasion and wear, making it suitable for high-stress environments.
•    Hardness Range: Polyurethane can be formulated to be either rigid or flexible, depending on the application needs.  From shore 10A, softer than a rubber band, up to 85D, harder than a bowling ball.
•    Chemical Resistance: Cast urethane can withstand exposure to oils, solvents, and other chemicals.

•    Polyurethane is an excellent potting material for electronics, in certain applications.
•    Impact Resistance: It absorbs shocks and impacts, providing protection in areas where damage prevention is crucial.
•    Customization: Color, hardness, and other properties can be customized to fit specific requirements. 

•    Vibration Damping: It effectively absorbs and dissipates vibration energy.

•    Parts can have threaded inserts/studs, magnets, and more molded in.
